EmpowerWISM: Overview of Applicants

The judging of our applicants is now well underway for our EmpowerWISM 2021 Award! As you know we have been hosting the Women in Shared Mobility interview series for the past 5 years to amplify the voices of female industry leaders. Our Empower Women in Shared Mobility 2021 program is taking this effort one step further by promoting one female led mobility venture for 12 months to encourage success, in as many ways as we possibly can. To qualify for the program, the applicants who applied, needed to:

  • Provide a product, service or technology for personal mobility/transportation (can be in shared mobility but doesn’t have to be)
  • Have a minimum 1 female Co-Founder and C-level executive (cis or trans women, non-binary, gender-fluid or gender non-conforming people).
  • Be less than 5 years old

Geotwin – Transportation planning

The platform helps public and private authorities to efficiently model city-scaledecision making enablers. They integrate all modes of transport (current and future) within a single transport planning tool, providing credible results to support your investment & regulation decisions.

VeoRide – Micro mobility Service Provider

Veo’s mission is to establish micro mobility as a true transportation system to reduce automotive use and promote widespread utilization of shared alternative mobility in a safe and reliable way, while and delivering successful programs characterized by continuous innovation and sustainability.

The Urban Catalysts – Gender Equity in Mobility Consulting

Founder Sonal is a multi-sectoral professional with 15 years experience, driven by the goal of catalyzing sustainable cities. TUC uses a gender and social inclusion lens to inform sustainable transport policies, investments, city planning, public space design and infrastructure. Their impact: Mainstreaming gender in public transport investments of $9 billion India, by 2027; creating India’s first street design guidelines focused on women’s safety. Sonal is also responsible for integrating gender in India’s urban planning guidelines: a first for the country. 

AEM institute GmbH – Transportation equity courses

AEM Institute provides goal-oriented services to support you in the implementation of fair and environmentally friendly mobility. They are the first address for gender and accessibility consulting in this field and have made it their mission to pass on their knowledge about all facets of mobility in courses – be it in-house training or interactive e-courses.

Go To-U – Universal App to access, book, pay for EV charging

Go To-U mobile application is just a user interface for EV drivers. The underlying technology behind it is software for EV charging management and operations. We run in-depth integrations with manufacturers of EV charging stations (such as ABB) and sell SaaS to charge point owners and operators.

ShuttleBee – On-demand Transportation for Children

ShuttleBee connect kids with transportation options and provide and support amazing drivers. Their mission is Safety. Their customers are families, schools and organizations that manage transportation for kids. ShuttleBee offers strong communication and excellence in logistics with their parent-directed transportation technology.

Coulomb.AI – EV battery analytics & fleet operations support

We are building an advanced E-Mobility intelligence platform for electro-mobility
Our cloud-based intelligence software uses a ‘digital twin’: a virtual simulation of the real EV. This combined with live field data and data-driven battery models accurately determine the real-time EV performance and predict their lifetime.

Bykko (e-bike sharing platform) – Residential, workplace e-bike sharing

BYKKO is a Newcastle-headquartered company with a distinctively European-systems approach to electric bike fleet management. They are the first Australian enterprise specialised in research, development and implementation of intelligent bike sharing and personal mobility, managed with data.

ChargerHelp – On-demand tech driven repair-as-a-service: EV charging stations

ChargerHelp are building an app to enable on-demand repair of electric vehicle charging stations. They are passionate about keeping all networked EV charging stations online and workforce development.

Mount Locks – Micro mobility lock systems. Data collected and shared with cities

Boston-based Mount Locks leverages their smart lock data analytics software, enables companies to track mobility patterns, locate lost vehicles, and take a hollistic approach to mobility asset management

Uncurb – ride-hailing for riders with limited mobility

Uncurb provides customers with choice and transparent information on their mobility options. They select and build relationships with high quality providers who are experienced, trained, and caring, and connect them to those with mobility issues, looking for a higher level of service.

Cogo App (MaaS) – Focused on micromobility

Cogo is your all-in-one app for finding the best and closest shared rides at your convenience. Find all shared electric scooters, bike, e-bikes, electric cars and mopeds near you. Available everywhere, Cogo shows you all available EV or human powered, shared rides from more than 150 mobility operators in over 400 cities worldwide.
