What’s the Sustainable Mobility Management (SMM) platform? 

GoWithFlow has delivered the first comprehensive Sustainable Mobility Management (SMM) system as a SaaS solution to businesses that want to create a near-immediate impact on carbon emissions by transitioning their traditional fleet to low- or no-emission vehicles. How can companies benefit financially by transitioning to sustainable transportation?

Transportation costs of product and people are a huge part of doing business today. In working with customers to manage more than 4,000 fleet vehicles and support the transition to electric, we’ve found EVs cost an average of €225 LESS per vehicle per year than a traditional vehicle, so there’re upfront savings right there, not to mention the environmental impact of an estimated 4,600 tons of CO2 that’s not going into the air we breathe. One of our clients is a large Portuguese city that reduced its carbon emissions by nearly 300 metric tons and saved €37,000 per year by converting 65% of its fleet to electric. Then, the savings in power and fuel costs through smart charging just grows exponentially over time.


What pain points does the SMM platform solve in the corporate mobility space?  

With the Flow SMM platform, companies can:

  • Build a Sustainable Mobility Plan- Using actual real-world data from fleet vehicles using IoT devices, Flow’s analytics platform assesses route purposes and patterns; recommends the right combination of ICE, EV or hybrid vehicles to best service those routes; and identifies vehicle fueling and charging infrastructure needs, approaches and configurations to sustain a heterogeneous electrified fleet.
  • Manage the Fleet Transition to Sustainability- The Flow SMM Fleet + Energy solution combines fleet management and charging management functionality to coordinate all aspects of having and using a corporate fleet and keeping it fully available as needed. The SMM dashboard tracks vehicle and energy sources, charging status, vehicle provisioning and integration with charging-station OEMs and operators to deliver Charging as a Service.
  • Prepare for the Future of Sustainable Mobility- Agnostic to vehicles or charging stations, Flow’s SMM also supports “what if” modelling scenarios based on new technologies, fuel sources or fleet requirements, so managers can predict and plan future energy spend regardless of what the future holds.



What’s Where does it fit in the urban mobility space? 

BICO AI has developed a SaaS optimization platform used by urban micromobility operators. Our innovative approach powers dockless geo-fenced and docked bike/e-bike/e-scooter share services. Micromobility operators engage with BICO to receive predictive and real-time information to control, visualize and deliver optimization through our console, the Android app or through our API data feed. BICO currently provides micromobility operators with predictive automated redistribution, maintenance, dynamic routing and battery management. BICO will soon be offering a complimentary predictive API data feed to micromobility operators who want to provide 24hr predictive availability data to their users.

How does your solution help operations and financials?

BICO’s optimisation platform addresses the critical pain points for micromobility operators whilst dealing with the huge complexity of managing assets. While every city is unique, our algorithms adapt and learn to allow instant deployment and automate decision making. And while every scheme has a limit to the assets and resources available, our innovative software optimises each scheme to achieve the best, cost efficient service possible. Assets that are not being rented can be to moved to where they are needed, reducing manual tasks, predicting demand patterns, all resulting in increased rentals – operational resource cost reduced by up to 50%, scheme OPEX reduced by up to 20% whilst reducing SLA breaches which could incur fines for the operator.

How does it solve rider and city pain points with micromobility?

Riders want to rent from and park in convenient locations. They also want to conveniently find shared vehicles which increases rentals. With BICO’s predictive demand and pre-emptive redistribution of scheme vehicles such as bikes, e-bikes, e-scooters and batteries, the system can ensure that they are in working order and they are collected / delivered to the right locations, on time, to maximise rentals.
