Project Approach

During the initial phase, the team reviewed the baseline assessment provided by ADL which then were compared against movmi’s knowledge library: the library consisted of an operational benchmark report, a compilation of lessons learnt from current/past projects. movmi staff sourced interview partners, compiled the questionnaire and conducted all interviews.

Through several client workshops, ADL and movmi fine-tuned the operational recommendations for Velib identifying opportunities to save operational costs in all areas of bike fleet management.

The recommendations were the foundation for Velib’s operational improvement plan, optimizing workshop organization, increasing lifespan of bicycles by changing to higher quality spare parts and reducing rebalancing costs.
